Day Eleven
We had some very special visitors arrive at our house today. Mary, Joseph and their trusty donkey. They wasted no time getting stuck into family life, joining us on the school run like seasoned pros. The donkey kept a low profile, Mary nodded along wisely and Joseph took it all in his stride.
Later, they very respectfully attended a policing meeting with Antony, proving that even on a holy visit civic duty comes first.
Back home, they rolled up their woolly sleeves to help Arthur with his reading, offering quiet encouragement and excellent listening skills. When night fell and Arlo became unsettled, our knitted guests were on hand keeping watch and providing comfort until he drifted back to sleep. It turns our even a small knitted nativity can be a big help.
