Day Sixteen

Mary & Joseph only travelled a short distance to Fieldview House.  They were surprised to find such a large gathering of people as a lot of cousins had also arrived. Elsie (4), Artur (8), Phoebe (1½) were playing with Teddy (11) and Rupert (6). The house was very noisy but everyone was having a good time.
At last it was time for bed and Mary & Jospeh and the donkey went to the stables as it was the only room which was not occupied!

The next day, Mary & Joseph helped muck out the stables, after putting the ponies out in the field. Mary thought they were very pretty but Joseph said a Shetland was too small for Mary to ride on!

The Mattley family waved them good-bye, knowing their journey would soon be over.
