Annual Meetings
On Tuesday, 6th May 2025 we shall be holding our Annual Meetings in Church starting at 7pm and these will be chaired by our Area Dean, Revd. Canon Gill Pinnington.
The first of these is the short Meeting of the Parishioners when our Churchwardens are appointed and anyone whose name is on the civic electoral register for the Parish of   Packington, as well as those on the Church Electoral Roll, has the right to vote on this occasion.

This will be followed by the Annual Parochial Church Meeting and, whilst only those with their name on the Church Electoral Roll may vote at this meeting, we welcome all interested in our church and its future to participate.  It is an opportunity to hear about all the activities which take place in our church and also to receive an update about the state of the fabric and the finances.  On the agenda as well is an update on the ongoing process of forming the Minster Community of which we shall be a part later this year, according to the Diocesan timetable.  There will also be space for a discussion about the Prayers of Love and Faith which incumbents are now permitted to use in response to requests from same sex couples in stable relationships.

Do come along and find out what we are up to and feel free to ask questions and express your opinions.

A visit from abroad!
On 14th May 2025 there will be a meeting of our Ladies Group, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, as indeed is usual on the second Wednesday of the month. On this occasion however, the meeting will be slightly different since we shall be enjoying tea and cake as we welcome Charles & Frances de Roemer to talk to us. Charles and Frances serve as mission partners with Crosslinks, an Anglican missionary society which enables partnerships with all churches, denominations and networks which share their beliefs. Charles and Frances, who are based in Binche in Belgium, are our link missionaries and our church supports them regularly. However, this is the first time that they have come to talk to members of the church in their official capacity so it is a golden opportunity to learn more about them – what is their everyday life like?, why do they do what they do?, what are the pluses and minuses of living in Belgium and the main issues there?, what joys and problems does their church face and how is Christianity viewed by most people?  Come and find out!
